This service is to diagnose any issues with your Sega Game Gear console. Your console must be either recapped or a 2110G model (VA5 revision mainboard) to qualify for this service. If not, then please purchase our Game Gear recap service instead.

Return shipping is included with the diagnostic fee. After the console has been diagnosed, you will be informed of the issue(s) and given a price to repair your console. If you choose to proceed with the repair, then you will be invoiced and the repair will proceed once the payment has processed. If you deny the repair, then the console will be sent back with the diagnosis.

Please take note of the scenarios below that may occur and how these scenarios will be handled:

• If the problem with your console ends up being very minor, e.g., cartridge slot pins need tightened, then your console will be repaired and sent back with no additional fees.

• If your console requires a part that we cannot readily obtain, then we will send your console back. If we come across the required part in the future, then we will contact you and provide a repair quote at that time.

• As a safeguard for buyers, if we cannot diagnose your Game Gear after having it in our possession for 7 days, then you have the option of having it returned and the diagnostic fee refunded minus any return shipping charges. The number of days is subject to change in the future depending on how busy we are.
