This listing has been put together with the true video game enthusiast in mind, focusing on the longevity of this Playstation console. Electrolytic capacitors for consoles this old are beginning to fail and slowly causing damage to the motherboard as they leak corrosive, caustic fluid. All of the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, and the motherboard has been cleaned to prevent additional damage from occurring.
Additionally, since the laser is the most common failure point of these older disc-based consoles, the laser assembly has been replaced with an XStation optical disc drive emulator and 3D-printed mount. No more worrying about scratched CDs or your laser skipping! A setup like this should allow your console to last throughout the foreseeable future.

Warranty
The buyer is entitled to a one year warranty starting from the date of purchase. If any issues occur that affect the functionality of the console that are not caused due to neglect, then the buyer needs to contact this seller through eBay so that shipping arrangements can be made. After receiving the original console, if the seller can verify that the issue was not caused due to neglect, then one of the resolutions below will be done in the provided order:
- The seller will repair the console and ship it back to the buyer refunding all shipping costs incurred by the buyer.
- If a repair is not deemed feasible, then the seller will replace the console with a working equivalent refunding all shipping costs incurred by the buyer.
- If neither option above is feasible, then the seller will provide the buyer with a full refund.
Upon receipt if the seller determines that the damage was caused due to neglect, or if it is determined that the console was not the one purchased by the buyer, then the seller will immediately inform the buyer of their findings and ship the console back to the buyer, issuing no refunds.
